MC Tanzanite is a UK-based cultural reggae artist, sound system operator and selector, with over four decades of lived experience in reggae, dub, and sound system culture. Raised within the traditions of vinyl, tape, and analogue sound, his work is rooted in discipline of craft, respect for lineage, and responsibility to the culture.

Role Model Sound System is a hand-built, heritage-grade, fully analogue sound system conceived, built, and operated by MC Tanzanite. Designed as a living continuation of the sound system tradition, it combines modern power with foundational principles of balance, weight, and musical clarity.

Role Model Sound is not a digital PA or a replica of the past. It is an analogue instrument, played live through selection, microphone control, tape sources, and hands-on sound shaping.

Operating through a fully analogue signal chain, the system is dedicated to preserving, presenting, and projecting authentic sound system culture across clubs, festivals, heritage sessions, and educational spaces.
